Artist’s Notebook

A space to share the journey behind my work: travels, encounters, challenges and everyday moments that have shaped the way I see as an artist.

Childhood

“I spent my childhood in Tigre, Buenos Aires, a place full of life, where the streams overflowed with the rising tides, with lush vegetation and colours that changed with the seasons. Then Villa del Lago, Córdoba, where our house faced the lake: every year we spent three blissful summer months there as a family. A landscape of hills, of piquillín and peperina, of glittering mica breaking through the rocks, the odd iguana, and the fish darting about in the crystal-clear streams. It was in these two places that I was blessed to absorb sensory experiences, discovering the world through nature.”

The way I see

“Painting is born from an inner need to inhabit life with intensity.”

“Vital energy runs through the work and becomes colour, gesture and matter.”

“I paint from what pulses before it becomes words.”

“The work is a manifestation of life in motion.”

“Painting as a record of a vital pulse.”

My studio

My art studio in San Isidro, Buenos Aires. I love spending time in my studio, a space where I can concentrate, experiment and let ideas emerge freely. It is located in San Isidro, Buenos Aires, and is part of my everyday life as an artist. Many hours of work and searching pass here, along with moments of calm, surrounded by paintings, materials and images that make up my creative universe.
